Incredible article. This was extremely helpful in understanding what is going on with document.ready. I'm currently working on a project that required us to do a little workaround for inline named anchors where we have to scroll programatically to them. Since document.ready fires before css and images are loaded and applied, the browser jumps around after scrolling to the anchor, and has caused us some headache, but this was helpful to confirm that document.ready isn't the way to go. Thanks for the great article.
